I love people that are smarter than me, critique away, for my benefit.

This Summer, OU Sculpure offered its first casting class via Mike Hill and Alex Knox, two of the contemporary sculpture grad students. Mike and Alex Knox worked their buts off all summer building the furnace and getting the class off the ground. My roommate Brandon Johnson was in the class, and  so I went out to take pictures. And I am not 100% sure, but I heard that there will be a casting show in the Lightwell Gallery this fall. Anyway, I hope they keep it up, as I look forward to take a casting class in the future.

Just went to Sooner Surplus (OU property control) and purchased a giant guillotine paper cutter. It has a great butcher block platform, that I like  much better than the metal bases of modern cutters. Anyway, I love shopping for vintage/used stuff. And we found a giant 30ft chalkboard, that believe Lacie and Cathy should by for their apartment. (we could use it on Chinese night)

My friend Cameron Logue and illustrator of most of the elements on this site, has now fed my ego by turning me into a Super Hero. I believe I am the defender of good design and web standards everywhere. I fight against terrible drop shadows, and the internet explorer monster.

Ok, so me and my friend Jessica Schlarb were chatting on facebook, and I accepted the challenge to paint an abstract self portrait by the next day. I just made a self portrait, the abstract part came from my skill level. Unfortunately, I am not to ashamed of the piece to hide it from the world, here you go.

At the point in life where you get to choose your friends, it makes you feel lucky for the many friends you’ve met out of sheer circumstance.
