This is a project that I did back in foundations. The goal was to morph from a basic shape to a distinctive black and white translation of an object. I liked the idea of the down arrow turning into a balloon that is going up, and no, I did not get the idea from the Pixar film. Also, I am posting this because my arch nemesis Matt Magill posted his version and I just cant let that stand. This project was done in cut paper on illustration board.

Here is a sketch I made from a Batman cover I saw on tumblr. Oh, and also this is me picking up on the 365 thing again.

This is an old project like many I am posting now. We built giant cardboard letters and then had to camouflage them against something.

This is a project from way back in foundations where you cut out shapes from a square of paper and flip them out. I think it was called “expansion of the square”. Though, if I remember correctly, we were supposed to keep it abstract, I made a cityscape. And yes, you will probably see alot of work coming to the blog in the future.

This is a poster I did for typography 1. I will also post a nicer image of thisĀ in my portfolio, but I like this fake Photoshopped version of it onto the newsprint. The assignment was to make a poster about a prominent typographer and use their font and a style that matches who they are or were. I chose to use the font Egyptienne, because I just really like slab serifs (note this site and the sketchfactory logo).

This is something I am still working on. It will be a flow chart of my life this coming Fall. Don’t judge anything but my spelling and grammar yet, I still have some little images to draw.
